So here's my response and my view on this matter as of right now:
Does God want us to be rich??...
I am not a 100% sure. I don't know if he wants everyone to be rich. However, I do know that it is very difficult for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven..It is very clear and evident throughout the Bible, that we are to be giving and generous. I truly believe that God has blessed others with more "things" than others. But, i believe God has provided certain people with abundance to give to others who do not have that luxury. That's definately an obvious and accurate thought but my actual response to this question is not to answer whether or not God "wants" us to be rich but, to confront the attitudes that desire to be rich
If I spend numerous hours throughout my week and even years throughout my life writing sermons, articles, and books trying to convince people that God wants everyone to be rich, it's really obvious that that my focus is off track...
Why am i wasting my life trying to win people over to my controversial opinion instead of using that time focusing on ways to reach out to nonbelievers? Why am I more concerned with earthly luxury rather than treasures in heaven??...Where's the focus?Where's the attitude?..Is it upon God's kingdom or is it upon chasing after wealth, money, comfort, and pleasure???...I just don't see the logic in spending so much time convincing people that God wants you to be rich...
It frustrates me when believers waste certain gifts chasing after earthly dreams instead of just focusing on matters that truly matter...
It's not about how much or how little we have..But it's all about what we choose to do with what has been given to us.
