Freedom

Well I started journaling the other day and it turns out that I like it...but I figured I'd just share a thought I was having last night....

The night is over. The fireworks are done. The nation is once again finished celebrating it's independance. Bonfires, cookouts, get-togethers, parties, music, hanging out, icecream, fun, games, fireworks.....all for the independence of a nation.....

(....I'm not going to discuss American issues at this time so don't worry about that but i'll go on)

True freedom...True independance...we all know is in Christ..We are all set free in Christ..For it is only through him that we can get through this world and to eternity...but how will we celebrate our freedom in him????

Such freedom deserves more than fireworks. Such freedom deserves more than get-togethers and parties. Such freedom deserves more than an anual celebration. Such freedom deserves more than hanging out. Such freedom deserves more than having a good time. Such freedom deserves more than movie nights. Such freedom deserves more than wednesday and monday nights. Such freedom deserves more than attending sunday school and sunday morning service. Such freedom deserves more than sunday evening worship. Such freedom deserves more than camping trips. Such freedom deserves more than bowling nights. Such freedom deserves more than ICYC and CIY.

Such freedom deserves my life. Such freedom deserves more than my life. But my life is all I can give. Let my life be a celebration of the freedom you have gifted me Oh Lord!!! Let my every thought and action be about you and for you.Let me wake up everymorning praising you. May I set you apart as Lord everyday and live for you everyday. May I worship and praise you everyday. Let me thank you everyday. May I be a light to the world every minute of everyday. May I be a constant witness and representative to who you are for every minute of everyday. May I celebrate the freedom you've granted me by all these things. May you guide me in all you do, for your glory and honor forever and ever..amen.........

Will you celebrate your freedom???..It deserves so much more than fireworks.
